They were supposed to have more time.
Murry Foust was a student, an artist, and a young person standing at the edge of a future they were still building.
They were preparing to graduate. They were creating work. They were part of a campus, a community, and a life that should have continued.
This page exists so Murry is remembered as more than a disappearance, more than a search, and more than the news of their death.
Murry was here. Murry mattered. Murry should not disappear from public memory.
ABOUT MURRY
Murry Foust was 22 years old, a fine arts major at Northern Kentucky University, and a senior preparing to graduate.
They were part of a creative life still unfolding. Their artwork was expected to be featured at an upcoming queer edition of the Cincinnati Art Museum’s Art After Dark series.
Murry’s life deserves to be remembered through more than the final weeks of searching. They were an artist, a student, a friend, a community member, and a young trans person whose future should have remained open.
FINAL MONTH / TIMELINE
Murry was last seen on April 27 in Covington, Kentucky.
For weeks, loved ones searched, shared updates, and kept their name visible while authorities used drones, K9 units, and water rescue teams.
Nearly a month later, Murry’s body was found by an independently organized search party near an industrial area in Wilder, Kentucky.
Police have said there are currently no indications of foul play. The official cause and manner of death has not yet been determined.
ART & LIFE
Murry was preparing to graduate and continue building a life through art.
Their work, creativity, and presence mattered. Their story should not be reduced to disappearance or death.
This space exists to hold the life around the loss.
